Turns out the owners of the publications used to work together themselves, had ONE bad date and then he moved on to his own publication.
The despised each other and after the young female and male writers reported on their bad date these two chuckle heads decide to up the ante, force them on 3 more dates and then sabotage them so they get more hits.
In the process they only open up the door for the these two to fall in love and turn everything around when they sneak away and have one perfect date then they both write about it. However Ms. Bad and Mr. Badder are not satisfied with good, they write a fictitious 3rd or really 4th bad date article.
I fell asleep after that. I did wake up to a kiss between the two cuties and Mr. Badder pouring champagne. You will have to watch to find out why everyone watch bad date chronicles online free celebrating at the end.

The plot of Bad Date Chronicles incites a rivalry between the hard-hitting online news magazine, the Richards Record, and the more sensationalized online periodical, PetersPost. In Portland, Oregon, it started with a date between Leigh and Conner.
Leigh Ryness Merritt Patterson is a top editor at the Richards Record. A recent survivor of a bad break-up, she's in charge of the Bad Date Chronicles, a human interest website on which people can anonymously post their miserable date watch bad date chronicles online free. She's got a date with Conner Michaels Justin Kelly.
Conner is the styles and trends editor for PetersPost. And if only Conner's buddy, sports editor Brad Giles Pantonhadn't messed things up, the date would've gone fine, our lovebirds would've clicked, and it'd be a much shorter movie. But, as they say, when it rains, it pours.

I guess the plot had to surround Leigh and Conner with despicable characters like their respective best friends who proceed to egg Leigh and Conner into not turning the other cheek. Our two leads would've been okay with letting things go.
Instead, Leigh's best friend, food blog editor Erin Lanie McAuleynags Leigh into posting her horrible date experience on her blog. Conner's best friend, Brad, isn't about to let Leigh's character assassination slide.
He badgers Conner into retaliating with his own hatchet job. It's true that people love a good roadside accident. The rubbernecking extends to the web. Leigh's blog snags fourteen million views.
Conner's blog draws in fifteen million. So, now, their bosses get involved, and they're even bigger jerks than the best friends. Worse, Leigh's boss, Allison Richards Gina Holdenand Conner's boss, Milo Peters Matt Bellefleurhave a sordid history.
Allison thinks Milo stole her idea that he went on to parlay into PetersPost. Still, both Allison and Milo know a good thing when they see it. Leigh's and Conner's blogs generated the most hits either online magazines had ever seen. The bosses want to keep it going. Allison and Milo put their heads together, and, suddenly, Leigh and Conner are ordered to go on three more dates - never mind that they don't want to - and blog about them. Oh, but it wouldn't do for these dates to go smoothly.
That won't drive up readership. Really, who needs bosses and friends like these? How much you enjoy this movie hinges on whether you think the low-down antics of the bosses and friends are actually funny. I didn't. I give this movie 2. There's not even the distraction of following other sub-plots because the two other sub-plots respectively involve a romance between the best friends and a romance between the bosses. It's a feeble nod to The Shop Around the Corner and You've Got Mail.
As for the other sub-plot, it's obvious where it's headed for Allison and Milo, providing they take time away from sabotaging their employees' dates just to elicit juicier blogs. Bad Date Chronicles is the weak cousin to movies like He Said, She Said and to His and Her Christmas.
The sad thing is that the two leads were good. Merritt Patterson and Justin Kelly had a nice chemistry. She's a stunner. He sports that Corey Seager scruff. But I get it that the main attraction is the hell their characters get put thru, watch bad date chronicles online free. It's just that I couldn't stand everyone around them.
The ending annoyed me, with Leigh and Conner forgiving their bosses just like that, as if the worst thing they'd done was not come thru with an ergonomic keyboard.
